Comment: The Shady Lady Lounge in the Snow King Resort which is kinda set apart from the rest of Jackson culture on the south side of Jackson, Wyoming (Jackson Hole is on the other side of the Tetons from Victor, Idaho). The crowd this evening was a funky mix of Jackson locals (not enough), rich skiers staying at the (pricy) resort and even some folks dressed real fancy who must have been at the resort for some convention or something. I don't think the venue did a good job of advertising to the locals. Unfortunately, the only people who danced during the first set were four really drunk males, one of whom was seriously vertically challenged. During "Hit Parade of Love", this guy hit the floor, not once but twice. The first time was sort of a slow motion out of control swirl but on the second one he hit the deck head first and ended up with his head under a chair against the wall, like he'd been checked into the boards like a hockey player! I think his friends or security escorted him out and he wasn't seen on the dance floor again! The band kept the first set, since it was primarily to a sit down audience, to a more traditional tone, less frenzied than their usual boogiegrass. I really liked the change of pace and particularly liked the version of Dawn's Early Light> Boatman>Bolton Stretch, really tasty licks played on that one. The second set saw many visitors to the dance floor and kickbutt versions of Ruby and Traffic Jam and encores of If I Lose and Steam Powered Aeroplan
