Comment: The band played the entire show dressed as Star Wars characters: Bret as Darth Vader, Frank as Yoda, Brandon as a Storm Trooper, Mike as Princess Leia (1) Included Star Wars riff quickly reinforcing the thematic Halloween motivation (2) Allman Brothers Band cover (first time played) (3) excerpt from the motion picture soundtrack Star Wars (4) The Death March settled into a bed of space ambiance and set the mood for a wicked light saber duel between the dark and the light sides. Mike stepped back as Frank and Bret began to battle each other with the glowsticks extending from their guitars. The fight culminated with Frank triumphing over Bret as Yoda pins Vader to the ground and saves the crying Princess Leia. The band proceeded to return to the Death March with Bret lying on the ground (5) Mind Caravan original debut (6) Frank narrated the costume contest over a smooth jazz vamp set by the band. The many contestants that initially took the stage got narrowed down to four finalists: Animal (The Muppets), A priest and a little boy, Two goldfish, A partially naked baby boy wearing only a diaper and a bib. The winner, the naked baby, continued to endulge in a victory dance to an improv jazz jam (3) Michael Jackson cover (first time played). Mike played the role of Michael Jackson and Frank played Paul McCartney, from the album Thriller.
