Comment: This was a make-up show from when he was sick in December. It was a radio station sponsored charity event. Not your normal JL venue. It was an old club type venue in Old Town downtown Portland. The kind that smells funny but has insanely good acoustics. An open floor (usually used for moshing lol) and a balcony for the old people to sit. Opening was Mat Kearney, a local boy done good. Second act was "The Colour". They were REALLY good! I checked out their myspace, and their recorded stuff doesn't do their live music justice. But still, I see they were just signed to a major label and it wouldn't surprise me if we heard from them in the future. Jonny's set was absolutely amazing, as usual. Even more so than the two shows I saw in October. He did seem somehow refreshed, more energized. Also, the energy in that type of venue is undeniable. You just never get that kind of energy in a place that has assigned seats, you know? He opened with "Long Time Coming" then went into "Turn Around", so again different than last October but I think somebody here already mentioned this change. The new keyboards guy was great, though I missed Charles' personality up there.
